Public Works Administration Building Windows, Storefronts, Doors Removal and Replacement

The scope of work shall include the removal of existing exterior window assemblies, exterior door assemblies denoted on the attached plan sheet “A-3” and replacement with new impact rated assemblies meeting current Florida Building Code and Miami Dade County NOA requirements. Impact ratings shall include complete systems including but not limited to, all mullions and associated hardware. The windows, storefront and door system assemblies shall be designed to withstand minimum design pressures and impacts in compliance with the current edition of the Florida Building Code and the Miami-Dade Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources - Board and Code Administration Division, Notice of Acceptance (NOA). Glazing (Base bid) shall be clear with no insulation or Low-E coating. Alternate bid items requiring Low-E glazings shall include Solarban 70 Solar Control Low-E Glass, or approved equal. Aluminum window and frames shall receive a black anodized finish. Windows assemblies shall be Winguard 700 Series Aluminum Awning (or Fixed Window - see alternate bid items) as manufactured by PGT Industries, or approved equal. Storefront systems shall be PGT/CGIC (or approved equal). and metal doors shall be steel doors from Steelcraft (or approved equal).Contractor shall be responsible to install a complete finished product, including the installation of all windows, storefronts, and doors and complete interior and exterior finishing, (stucco, dry wall, brick, masonry, and painted where applicable).
