Manhole Castings, Risers and Covers

This bid is for pricing for specified manhole castings and risers for Rockland County Sewer District #1 and other county agencies as needed. This bid includes the Rockland County Sewer District #1 and various locations in the County of Rockland. The County of Rockland uses various manufacturers around the County. Estimated quantities will be placed on an as needed basis. Manhole Castings and Risers shall conform to the requirements of current A.S.T.M. specifications for gray iron castings (designation A48-48). Manhole Castings and Risers and covers shall be heavy duty and be rated for a minimum of A.A.S.H.T.O. H20-16-wheel loads. Manhole Castings to be furnished as needed are, Campbell 1203&B, Neenah R-1559 or General 12683, Storm Manhole Frame & Cover. Cover shall have two penetrating pick holes approximately 1 ½” wide by 2” long and be of non-skid design. Cover shall have a minimum weight of 120 pounds and measure 25 ¾” in diameter. Cover shall have 1 ¾” raised lettering on its non-skid design. Riser Extensions are to be for 25-3/4" and 23" diameter covers for Campbell 1203 and 1005 Manhole Castings. 25-3/4" diameter covers for Neenah R-1559 Manhole Castings and 25-3/4" diameter covers for General Foundry 12683 Manhole Castings. Also supply locking cover 1478.
