Bauer Ditch Drain Tile Reconstruction

The project includes installation of drain tile, via open trench construction, including clearing and tree removal, stripping topsoil, excavation, placing bedding, laying drain tile pipe, placing initial & final backfill, replacing topsoil, shaping, trimming, and finishing, and cleaning, inspecting, and testing; installation of storm sewer structures, including stripping topsoil, excavation, placing bedding, setting precast reinforced concrete storm sewer structures, placing adjusting rings and castings, backfilling, replacing topsoil, shaping, trimming, and finishing, and cleaning. Excess excavated material generated during the performance of the work will be disposed of on the project site by spreading it within the regulated drainage easement associated with Bauer Ditch before replacing topsoil along the project reach. The project will also include placement of a casing and carrier pipe under US 6 via jack and bore installation methods. The project also includes other items incidental to the work, including maintenance of traffic, erosion and sediment control, and the restoration of areas disturbed during the performance of the work.
