Description | The Project will utilize separate prime contractors. All contracts for construction will be direct contracts with the Owner. Overall administration of the Project will be the responsibility of the Construction Management Firm, Wolgast Corporation. The Owner will award contracts on or about February 8, 2023, to separate prime contractors for separate bid divisions or combinations of bid divisions. All bids shall be submitted on the bid forms provided in the project specifications, completely filled in, and executed (copies of the bid forms are acceptable). Facsimile bids will not be accepted. All questions regarding the bidding procedures, design, and drawing/specification intent are to be directed to the Construction Manager on a Clarification Request Form (Section 00310), attention Craig Myers (cra.mye@wolgast.com) and Judy Rauch (jrauch@wolgast.com). A Bid Security by a qualified surety authorized to do business in the state where the Project is located and in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid shall accompany each proposal or proposal combination. The Bid Security may be in the form of a Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Money Order. Personal checks are NOT acceptable. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the bid date. Successful Bidders may be required to furnish Surety Bonds as stated in the Project Specifications (Section 00600). Familial Disclosure All bidders must provide familial disclosure in compliance with MCL 380.1267 and attach this information to the bid. The bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or the employee of the bidder and any member of the board, intermediate school board, or board of directors or the superintendent of the school district, intermediate superintendent of the intermediate school district, or chief executive officer of the public school academy. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. Iran Business Relationship Affidavit All bidders must provide a signed Iran Business Relationship Affidavit. Effective April 1, 2013 all bids, proposals, and/or qualifications statements received in the State of Michigan must comply with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, 2012 P.A. 517. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include this signed affidavit. Owners' Rights The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, accept a bid other than the low bid, and to waive informalities, irregularities, and/or errors in the bid proposals, which they feel to be in their own best interest. |
