Description | As of June 20, 2022, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction has not been confirmed. The work consists of four (4) new manholes, nine 6-inch sewer services replacements which are to be connected to the existing sewer services along with cleanouts, pavement removal and replacement, flowable fill and related work. Location #2 consists of relining about 1,790 feet of 10-inch diameter sanitary sewer on Bluff Street (U.S. Route 6) from mid-block between Pearl Street and Chicago Street to Sherman Street. Part of this relining is located under the bridge that carries Bluff Street over Gum Creek. The work also includes relining thirtythree 6-inch sanitary sewer services from the mainline sewer to a point about five (5) feet behind the existing curb. A cleanout is to be installed at each location where the realigning terminates and joins the existing sewer services lines All Proposals must be submitted on forms supplied by the City of Marseilles and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Money Order, or Certified Check for not less than Five Percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid made payable to the City of Marseilles. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Amount. The City of Marseilles encourages minority business firms to submit Bids and the successful contract Bidder to use minority businesses as Subcontractors for suppliers, equipment, services and construction. If an acceptable bid is received from a responsible, responsive Bidder, the Marseilles City Council will award the Contract at their regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. If an acceptable bid is not received, the Marseilles City Council will reject all bids at the May 4, 2022 meeting, and at that time publicly opened and read aloud The City of Marseilles reserves the right to waive technicalities or to reject any or all Proposals *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
