Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements

Project Number-200332, B2101121 All Work, materials, and equipment are to be in accordance with the Contract Documents on file in the office of the City Clerk, and at the office of HR Green, Inc. ("Engineer"), 8710 Earhart Lane SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404, by this reference made a part hereof as though fully set out and incorporated herein. Work under the proposed Contract Documents shall be commenced upon written Notice to Proceed to be issued on or before June 13, 2022 and shall be completed and ready for operation on or before May 1, 2024, subject to any extension of time, which may be granted by the Owner. The Contractor's certified check or Bid Bond shall be in an amount equal to 5% percent of the amount of the Bid, made payable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to readvertise for Bids or to defer action on the Bids received for a period not to exceed Number of Days Owner has to accept bids days from and after the date and time specified in this Notice to Bidders for receiving said Bids, and to waive irregularities and informalities. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Warranty Bond and a Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to Performance and Payment Bond Requirement Percentage percent of the contract price The project consists of the following: 291 LF of 10-inch sanitary PVC piping; 717 LF of 12-inch sanitary PVC piping; 400 LF of 4-inch to 6-inch HDPE aeration piping; Lagoon berm construction for the quiescent cell separated by a baffle curtain; lagoon aeration system, four (4) Submerged Attached Growth Reactors (SAGR) with 60 mil HDPE liner; electrical work, earthwork, and a new block building to house blowers and electrical equipment; UV disinfection system. The project will also included sanitary sewer improvements.
