Design and Creation of Five Statues of Byron Nelson, Kathy Whitworth, Ben Hogan and Two Nonspecific Teen Golfers

The exceptional bronze sculptors to design and cast (3) three lifelike statues of Byron Nelson, Ben Hogan and Kathy Whitworth, and (2) two nonspecific teen golfers. Each bronze statue will be displayed at an entrance into the community, with the two (2) nonspecific teen golfers being on display near Byron Nelson High School. Currently, the Town is working with Landscape Architects to conceptualize each location to emphasize and draw attention to each statue with attractive landscaping. Statues will be 6 feet to 8 feet in height and commentary on artists’ preference is highly recommended, taking into consideration location and visibility. Guidance as to best ways to display statues to maximize viewing while inhibiting the potential for vandalism or accidental damage is expected. Include your experience with anti-graffiti coatings. The artist must provide a two year warranty on materials and craftsmanship. The artist must provide specifications for a pedestal and installation of statue. If possible, installation by artist is recommended. Specifications for each location to be provided at a later date.
