Description | The project consists of the re-construction of seven (7) drainage retention areas entailing clearing and grubbing, excavation, embankment, installation of Biosorption Activated Media, installation of reinforcing mat, installation of culverts, installation of mitered end sections, and installation of riprap and bedding stone. The scope of this project also includes mobilization and demobilization, surveying layout and as-built surveys, offsite transport, and proper disposal of construction waste and demolition debris, installation and maintenance of erosion and sediment controls, installing and providing maintenance of traffic during construction, dewatering activities, sodding and restoring the site, utility coordination, and repairing public and private property damaged during construction of the project, and final site clean-up. The Vendor/Contractor shall locate and protect all existing utilities from damage during the work. All work is to take place within the existing right of way and/or on County owned property. Contract service shall include furnishing all labor, equipment, tools, fuel, materials, insurance, taxes, supervision, licenses, permits, fees, and all other items incidental thereto to complete the project as described. The project requirements are more particularly described in the Contract specifications, construction plans, and informational map. The County will provide continuous construction oversight. The Vendor/Contractor shall coordinate activities by mutual agreement with all utility companies and/or other public and private entities operating facilities in the project area before beginning construction. If needed, the Vendor/Contractor shall provide a yard for parking, maintenance, and storage of all materials and equipment at no expense to the County. |
