Description | It is the intent of the City of Manitowoc to have the Contractor furnish all necessary materials, labor, equipment and all incidental items necessary for the removal and replacement of existing concrete sidewalks that are deemed defective (Green Dot) at various locations within the City. The abutting Property Owners have the option to replace the defective sections of sidewalks privately before the start of sidewalk work under this Contract. There is a map showing the area of the remove and replace sidewalk district at the end of these Special Provisions and Conditions. The 2023 sidewalk district area is bounded by South 14th St., South 21st St., Franklin St. and Marshall St. The Contractor shall perform the sidewalk construction work in the following sequence. 1) Remove and Replace Sidewalk District. 2) City-Wide Complaints. A Bid Bond or Surety 2000 in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each proposal as a guaranty. |
