Fiberglass Seawater Tank Repair

The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Milford Laboratory, Milford, CT, has a requirement for the repair of a 10,000 gallon seawater tank. A. The Contractor shall provide certified/licensed technicians for the relining/repair of the existing 10,000 gallon seawater tank. B. The Contractor shall prep, sand, patch, power wash, buff the fiberglass lining on the walls and flooring of the existing seawater tank for application of new lining per manufacturer recommendations. C. The Contractor shall apply 250 mils (1/4 inch) of new ANSI/NSF-61Certified EPOXYTEC CPP Sprayliner-61 or (approved equivalent) fiberglass/epoxy lining to the 10,000 gallon seawater tank that is suitable for marine life. 3 D. The Contractor shall apply new fiberglass/epoxy lining to the first twelve inches of the inside walls of three four inch PVC pipes. 2 supply lines, 1 drain line. Piping cannot be removed during application. E. The Contractor shall ensure there are no leaks present after installation is complete. F. The Contractor shall provide all labor and materials for the removal of debris from location. All debris shall be properly disposed of. G. The Contractor shall Supply all ancillary equipment, materials not specifically referenced required to complete the work. H. The Contractor shall properly protect the work area to ensure there is no contamination/ overspray to other areas of the facility.
