Description | The UIH Nuclear Medicine CT Camera Replacement Project is located at the University of Illinois Hospital, 1740 West Taylor St., Chicago IL in rooms 2501 and 2505. The project will be completed in one (1) phase. The purpose of the project is to modify these two rooms to create a new Control Room and Procedure Room to support the replacement of new Nuclear Medicine camera equipment on the 2nd floor. The project consists of installing new radiation shielding in wall partitions and openings, reinforced structural support from under the concrete slab below to support the new equipment, millwork counters and storage. Mechanicial and electrical modifications include but are not limited to ductwork and HVAC controls modifications to provide adequate cooling and to maintain negative pressurization, new emergency electrical feed from an exisiting panel board and new lighting, relocation of a sink and medical gas outlets, sprinkler modifications, and low voltage telecom and access control work. All new finishes will comply with UIH standards. |
