Description | Radnor Township is soliciting bids for dedicated turn lanes, road widening, new traffic signals and storm sewers in the general area of King of Prussia Road/Eagle Road/Pine Tree Road. Included will be the removal existing trees, erosion and sediment control, sod landscape restoration and all associated work. Clarification deadline 4/19/2022 4:00 pm Radnor Township reserves the right to add or delete portions of work based on budgetary constraints. The award date for this project is tentatively scheduled for Monday, May 23, 2022. The project must be completed no later than 180 days after notice to proceed. The Township will not accept bids from any firm/corporation that are currently in litigation with the Township. This is a prevailing wage project. A bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid is required. Bid security shall be in the form of either a Bond issued by a corporate surety approved by the Secretary of Insurance to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or a certified check or an Irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Township Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities and reject any or all proposals, or parts thereof, for any cause permitted by law, as it deems in the best interest of the Township. The standard under which bids will be evaluated and other bid requirements and instructions to bidders are included in the bid package. The successful bidder must supply a performance bond and a payment bond from firm(s) qualified to issue bonds in Pennsylvania, equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount for the term of the award within ten (10) days of the bid award. A separate maintenance bond in an amount equal to twenty-five percent (25%) of the final contract price, including all extra work, will be submitted upon completion of all work along with the Contractor's Release and the request for final payment. The maintenance bond is to continue for a period of one (1) year after the date of written completion, approval and acceptance of the entire work by the Township. |
