A municipal landfill cell expansion using a composite liner consisting of a 60 mil textured highdensity polyethylene (HDPE) flexible membrane liner (FML) directly over a 2 foot thick layer of re-compacted low permeability clay soil. Unclassified Excavation 95,300 Cu Yd HDPE Pipe and Tile 4,060 Ln Ft 24" Thick Compacted Clay Liner 16,975 Sq Yd HDPE 60 mil Liner 138,000 Sq Ft 12" Thick Granular Layer (Peagravel) 94,000 Sq Ft Seeding 4.0 Acres The contractor shall have 75 consecutive calendar days to complete the Work. Said 75 days shall be between June 30th, 2023 and October 25th, 2023. The contractor shall complete all work covered by the contract on or before the 76th calendar day following the commencement of work at the site, or October 26th, 2023, whichever comes first. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check on a solvent bank chartered under the laws of the State of Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a bid bond in the form prescribed in the specifications (see Chapter 26 of the current Code of Iowa) and filed in an envelope separate from the one containing the proposal, sealed, and in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the bid The Contractor shall furnish a Performance and Payment Bond (see Chapter 573 of the current Code of Iowa), in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract, said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council
