Exterior Wall Masonry and Mortar Repairs - Districtwide

Provide skilled mason(s) and laborer(s) to make mortar and brick repairs to every elevation of the District’s buildings. Care shall be taken to match the brick, mortar and grout to exactly what is existing. Masonry work includes but is not limited to the following: • Brick and mortar repairs: rake out existing cracks and deteriorated mortar joints, remove and replace damaged or deteriorated brick masonry. • Removal and replacement of existing steel lintels and brick/masonry coursing as needed. • Repair and/or replace cap stones and other cast stones including parapet walls and coping stones associated with building envelope. • Power washing and waterproofing of masonry walls. • Repair related flashings and thru wall flashing and other related items to the masonry walls and decks using lead coated copper or copper flashing. • Repair concrete slabs, decking, beams and other concrete related repairs to building structure. • Installation, repair or replacement of concrete block at various sizes as required. • Provide bracing, support, scaffolding and other needed measures to support and reinforce masonry. • Reinforcement, repair, replace or install new reinforcement as needed or specified including rebar, galvanized durawall. • Repair, remove and replace sidewalks as needed. • Repair, replace and install new retaining walls and other site masonry repairs making sure any retaining wall has weep holes. • Repair and replacement of stone, cast stone, brick or concrete steps. • Seal all repairs and new masonry work.
