Description | Highland County, State of Ohio, through its Board of County Commissioners, will receive bids for HIG VAR CR RESURFACING FY23 Bid or Proposal blanks will also be available with said specifications and must be used in the submission of a bid if said bid is to be considered by the Commissioners. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than June 2, 2023. Prevailing wages rates, as determined by the Federal Dept. of Labor, will apply to this project in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Wage Act. Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. Pre-qualification must be in force at the time of the bid, at the time of the award, and through the life of the construction contact. Subcontractors are not subject to the re-qualification requirement. The "prime" contractor must perform no less than 30 percent of the total original contract price. The Highland County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept the lowest and best bid, reject any and all bids, and to waive any irregularities in bids. |
