Description

Purpose of this project is to stabilize the discharge pipes that deliver dissolved oxygen to the Savannah (Front) and Back Rivers from the Lower Dissolved Oxygen Plant on Hutchinson Island in the City of Savannah: Scour areas adjacent to and beneath the discharge pipes on the Savannah River and Back River will be filled with like materials from nearby dredge spoil areas. In addition, a pipe expansion joint on the discharge pipe to the Savannah River will be replaced to allow full range of movement landward.
