Salt Fork North Elementary School & South Grade School / Jr. High School Mechanical and Window Replacements

Project Cost Estimates: Salt Fork - North Elementary - $2,600,000.00 Salt Fork - South GS / Jr High - $5,100,000.00 The project consists of: Mechanical replacements and window replacements at both the North Elementary School and the South Grade School / Jr. High. Electrical upgrades also will need to occur at both schools. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project includes: 1. North Elementary School a. Replacement of the existing heating systems with 4-pipe Vertical Unit Ventilators and fan coil units throughout the building. RTU’s will be installed at the gym area. New piping and conduits will be ran to each of the units per the plans. b. New boilers / pumps and chillers will be installed, and the building requires an electrical upgrade per the plans. c. The original windows at the NE wing and gym will be replaced with aluminum storefront systems. These windows do contain asbestos in the glazing compounds / sealants, so they will be removed by others. There are also windows on the south elevation that get replaced with aluminum storefront systems and these windows do NOT contain any asbestos. d. Louvers will be installed within the existing masonry walls and storefront systems as shown on the plans. e. General patching and painting as needed where demolition has occurred. 2. South Grade School / Junior High School a. Replacement of the existing heating systems with 4-pipe Vertical Unit Ventilators and fan coil units throughout the building. AHU’s will be installed at the gym areas and other areas as shown on the plans. New piping and conduits will be ran to each of the units per the plans. b. New boilers / pumps and chillers will be installed, and the building requires an electrical upgrade per the plans. c. The windows will be replaced with aluminum storefront systems as shown on the plans. d. Louvers will be installed within the existing metal panel infill walls and masonry walls as shown on the plans. e. General patching and painting as needed where demolition has occurred.
