Description

The Oregon City Loop Trail consists of several segments from the Citys Transportation System Plan (TSP) and is featured as a regional trail the the Citys Trails Master Plan. The Trails Master Plan describes the trail as 'creating a loop around Oregon City, utilizing the east side of the Newell Creek Canyon and linking to the Beaver Lake Trail. It is listed as project R3. The Oregon City Loop Trail consists of TSP projects S23, S22, S24, S26, and S30 within the City Limits. Outside of the City Limits, the trail consists of TSP projects S35, S32, S33 and S13. This plan will provide specifics to the TSP projects within City Limits on where to build the trail and what type of trail to build (widened sidewalks, asphalt path, gravel path, etc.) through an engineering and planning analysis and a public involvement process. As of March 10, 2023 a design team has been selected. A construction timeline has not been established yet. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
