Description

The storm pipe network from the Madison Avenue and Darwin Road intersection, within the Hedy Heights residential development, collects and conveys stormwater runoff to an outfall pipe that discharges into an unnamed tributary that crosses Veterans Park. The unnamed tributary flows westerly to a pipe system that eventually crosses under Middlesex County Route 527/Englishtown Road. Contract bid documents were prepared and awarded for the construction of a storm sewer bypass system along Madison Avenue and Marlin Road to resolve flooding issues at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Darwin Road. This contract also included performing fourteen (14) utility test pits to locate sanitary, water and gas services. Due to significant underground utility conflicts the contract has been cancelled until further underground utility investigations were conducted.
