Description | Solicitation Summary The work performed under this contract includes furnishings of services necessary for the accomplishment of miscellaneous electrical work for the Light Rail facilities and stations. Facility locations are in Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The Contractor shall supply all necessary labor, tools, expertise, material, equipment and transportation, along with supervision required to perform building maintenance and station repairs throughout the MDOT Light Rail system, as directed by the MDOT Representative or designee. All work under this contract will utilize the categories of labor outlined in the unit price schedule. The work performed under this contract will be authorized based on the number of personnel, equipment and materials. MDOT will reimburse for material purchases at cost. Facility locations are in Baltimore City, Baltimore County and Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The Contractor shall supply all necessary labor, tools, expertise, material, equipment and transportation, along with supervision required to perform building maintenance and station repairs throughout the MDOT Light Rail system, as directed by the MDOT Representative or designee. All work under this contract will utilize the categories of labor outlined in the unit price schedule. The work performed under this contract will be authorized based on the number of personnel, equipment and materials. MDOT will reimburse for material purchases at cost. Required Services 1. Electrical Maintenance Electrical Contractor must be licensed. The contractor technician must have a Journeyman license, and Apprentices must have an apprenticeship license. Electrical maintenance shall be performed on an "as needed" basis and shall include the following but not limited to: A. Building panel maintenance/PM. B. Maintain primary electrical service from terminal pole to transformer. C. Service/adjust taps on transformer. D. Install replacement cutout fuses on terminal pole. E. Trace/repair/replace grounded or faulty circuits. F. Replace hydraulic control valve solenoids. G. Service/test/adjust/repair cathodic protection system. H. Adjust and repair lock control limit switches. J. Replace or repair hoist motors and controllers, as necessary. K. Check/repair/replace thermostats/heaters in all electric motors/controls, etc. L. Maintain motor control center system in control buildings, including: heating, air conditioning ventilating, compressed air, plumbing, sewage and water systems. M. Dry/check/repair all electrical systems after inundation (overwhelming amount of accumulation). N. Repair/replace ballast/maintain high bay and pit lights. O. Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all electrical systems and equipment as necessary (i.e. train approaching warning devices). P. Monthly check list shall be completed for station/shop lighting. Q. Repair/replace all stations and buildings lighting monthly. R. Work on Catenary bug reel. End of Contract Transition 3.2.1 The Contractor shall provide transition assistance as requested by the State to facilitate the orderly transfer of services to the State or a follow-on contractor, for a period up to 60 days prior to Contract end date, or the termination thereof. Such transition efforts shall consist, not by way of limitation, of: 1. Provide additional services and support as requested to successfully complete the transition; 2. Maintain the services called for by the Contract at the required level of proficiency; 3. Provide updated System Documentation (see Appendix 1), as appropriate; and 4. Provide current operating procedures (as appropriate). |
