Description

The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals as required by the Contract Documents to construct for the above-stated project.The general items of work include Conversion of Existing Potable Irrigation Systems to Recycled Water Irrigation Systems. Contractor shall repair at his own expense, any damage, whether inside or outside of the project limits, to utility systems, surface pavements, fixtures, structures, or vegetation that is not specifically indicated to be removed as part of this demolition plan. All damaged items shall be repaired to their original condition, as acceptable to the owner. Except for materials indicated to be salvaged and relocated on site, all cleared materials shall become the contractor's property and shall be removed and disposed of legally off-site. Separate recyclable materials produced during site clearing from other non-recyclable materials. Store or stockpile without intermixing with other materials and transport them to recycling facilities. Provide temporary erosion and sedimentation control measures to prevent soil erosion and discharge of soil-bearing water runoff or airborne dust to adjacent properties and walkways. The existence and approximate location of any underground utility pipes or structures shown on these plans are obtained by the available records. The contractor is required to take due precautionary measures to protect utility lines shown and any other lines not of record and not shown on these plans. The contractor shall call toll free underground service alert two working days prior to starting any excavation work. It is the bidders sole responsibility to contact the City's online bid management provider to resolve any technical issues related to electronic bidding, including (but not limited to) registering as a vendor, updating passwords, updating profiles, uploading/downloading documents, submitting an electronic bid, etc. SB854: No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
