Description

The purpose of this solicitation is to acquire all services, materials and equipment from qualified contractors to provide Concrete Trip Hazard Removal Services complying with the enclosed description and/or specifications and conditions for the Beaufort County School District. The anticipated effective date of this contract will be February 2024. The initial term of this agreement is three years from the effective date. Your offer must include either a bid bond issued by a surety or sureties licensed in South Carolina or a certified check. The amount of surety shall be five percent (5%) of the total bid amount. This bid bond penalty may be expressed in terms of a percentage of the bid price or may be expressed in dollars and cents. If a certified check is submitted in lieu of a bid bond, it must be made payable to BCSD A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond will be required for 100% of the proposed/contracted amount on the various projects that exceed $50,000. The bonds must be issued by a surety company licensed in South Carolina, with an A minimum rating of performance as stated in the most current publication of bests key rating guide, property liability which shall show a financial strength rating of at least five (5) time the contract amount. Each bond must be accompanied by a power of attorney authorizing the attorney in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the performance bond Beaufort County School District (hereinafter, "the District" and "BCSD") invites all qualified providers to provide the District with Concrete Trip Hazard Removal Services complying with the enclosed description and/or specifications and conditions for this solicitation. Beaufort County School District is located in the heart of the South Carolina Low Country. It is a land rich in natural beauty, history and resources and an area of economic contrast and cultural diversity. The District is a public school district that serves approximately 22,000 students and approximately 2,300 full-time employees; currently comprised of seventeen elementary/early childhood centers, two PK-8 Academies, six middle, six high schools, one Vocational School, one Alternative Program and an Administrative Office. MAXIMUM CONTRACT PERIOD - ESTIMATED (JAN 2006): February 2024 through January 2029. Award will be posted at the Physical Address stated above on or after January 11, 2024 The dates provided are estimates only. Any Resulting contract will begin on the date specified in the notice of award. See clause entitled "Term of Contract - Effective Date/Initial Contract Period". (Extensions beyond this contract period must be approved by the BCSD Superintendent) Bids from Minority and Women Business Enterprises are strongly encouraged.
