Bidders shall not contact anyone else for clarification of contract provisions; the Municipality will not be responsible for any interpretations so obtained Location: In Kennebec County, the project is located along Winthrop Street extending from a proposed crosswalk at the intersection of Coos Lane to High Street. Approximately 0.02 miles. Outline of Work: New sidewalk and pedestrian improvements including a new crosswalk, ADA compliance landings and Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) and other incidental work. The basis of award will be lowest base bid. Contract documents are available in digital format and will be provided by contacting Kleinfelder Northeast, Inc via email at (jearle@kleinfelder.com). To be considered a responsive bidder, the Contractor shall have obtained at least one set of Bidding Documents from the Engineer. The Bid will not be awarded unless a record of obtaining of at least on set of Bidding Documents exists. Each Bid must be made upon blank forms provided by the Municipality and must be accompanied by a bid bond of 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order for 5% of the bid amount, payable to City of Hallowell, as a Bid Guaranty. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each for 100% of the Contract price, shall be required of the successful Bidder.\ This Contract is subject to all applicable state laws.
