Description | Constructed between about 1910 and 1912, the curved concrete gravity dam is on North Boulder Creek and impounds Albion Lake. The dam is under the jurisdiction of Colorado Division of Water Resources, Dam Safety Branch of the State Engineer’s Office (SEO). The SEO lists Albion Dam as a significant hazard dam in the jurisdictional dam dataset. The dam will be rehabilitated to mitigate concrete deterioration, improve the watertightness of the upstream face, and upgrade the spillway and outlet works, thereby extending its useful life for water storage. |
