Roof replacement projects at various locations for fort bend County. Mandatory site visit(s) will commence immediately following the Pre-Bid conference. This is the only date and time vendors will be permitted to complete a site visit and measurements. Attendance is mandatory and all interested vendors must attend to discuss the requirements of this bid. The mandatory Pre-Bid and mandatory site visit(s) will not be rescheduled due to tardiness or any other issues that may arise; no exceptions Unit pricing required; payment will be by check. Bonds are required. Fort Bend County reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Deadline for submission of questions and/or clarification is no later than Monday, January 16, 2023 at 9:00AM (central) Requests received after the deadline will not be responded to due to the time constraints of this bid process. All requests for such interpretations must be made in writing addressed to Jaime Kovar, Purchasing Agent, 301, Jackson, Suite 201, Richmond, Texas, 77469, E-mail: Jaime.Kovar@fortbendcountytx.gov. SCOPE: It is the intent of Fort Bend County to contract with one (1) or more vendors for all materials, supplies, equipment, tools, services, labor and supervision necessary to provide roof replacement at various locations within Fort Bend County, hereinafter referred to as the "Project," as specified herein. After Commitment Approval or Notice to Proceed issued by Fort Bend County all work must be substantially completed by the accepted contract days. Final Completion shall be achieved within 30 consecutive calendar days after the date of Substantial Completion as determined by the Owner Designated Representative (ODR). DESCRIPTION A. Work includes: 1. Throughout the Work, seal and caulk joints where shown on the Drawings and/or as required by the Consultant to provide and maintain watertight and airtight continuous seals. 2. This section includes, but is not limited to, providing joint sealants to be in the following areas: a) Exterior openings b) Perimeter of soffits to wall surfaces c) Control and expansion joints in masonry and concrete walls d) Trim moldings to wall surfaces e) Parapet cap copings and counter flashings at roofing conditions f) Perimeter joints of plumbing fixtures g) Inside corners of ceramic tile walls h) All other joints as directed by the Consultant.
