Asphalt - High Knob Owners Association, Inc. (HKOAI)

High Knob Owners Association, Inc. (HKOAI) is soliciting sealed quotations for the patching and repairing of roads in the High Knob Subdivision. High Knob is asking for an installed per unit quotation for asphalt. The quotations are to be a FIRM cost for a one-year period beginning August 1, 2022, through August 1, 2023, inclusive. The quotations shall be valid for up to ninety days from the date of submittal. The tonnage is based on VDOT specified asphalt and standard patch material. High Knob shall maintain the right to reject any batch of asphalt that it feels is not properly mixed, or mixed with inadequate or substandard materials. The make-up of the VDOT specified asphalt shall meet Virginia Department of Transportation standards, as outlined in the Road and Bridge Specifications, January 1994, Section 211, Asphalt Concrete, and all applicable amendments. The standard patch material may be made up without non-polished stone as an aggregate, but otherwise, the asphalt-aggregate mix and testing shall follow the guidelines of VDOT specifications, the American Association of State Highway, and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), or the Asphalt Institute.
