Pavement Reconstruction Package 2021

Scope of Work: 1. The 2021 Pavement restoration package consists of five separate restoration projects in one advertisement. Each individual project will be tracked and invoiced separately, however the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder of the combined cumulative total. 2. The combined program will consist of 500,045 square yards (SY) of rubberized chip, 96,160 SY of TRMSS and 3,644 SY of 2” Mill and fill with rubber chip interlayer. The mill and chip areas will be bid as lump sum, full depth AC removal and replacement will be considered acceptable in lieu of an interlayer. Patch material shall be a PAG 2 virgin (No RAP) mix, 70- 10. 3. Remove and replace areas shall be completed in the winter months – chip sealing application will occur in spring when necessary temperatures have been reached. 4. Two way traffic must be maintained at all times. Lane shifts will be permissible. Intersection work is recommended as a night time operation. 5. All existing raised pavement markers (RPM) shall be removed and replaced in kind for all roads scheduled in this contract. 6. All streets will be thoroughly cleaned both before and after the application of the chip and/or fog seal. A pick up broom will be required for this project. Disposal of loose chips will be the responsibility of the contractor. No water source will be provided.
