Description | The City of Grand Rapids Is Seeking Bids for Reconstruction of Norwich Avenue From Curve Street to Hayden Street. This work consists of new HMA pavement, 6 inch water main, 8 inch and 10 inch sanitary sewer and manholes, 10 inch and 12 inch storm sewer and manholes and catch basins, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk and ADA ramps, concrete driveways, 22 street trees, pavement markings, street signs and appurtenances Questions relating to this Bid shall be referred to: Technical: Neil DeWit Project Manager Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber, Inc. (FTC&H) 1515 Arboretum Drive SE Grand Rapids, MI 49546 (616) 575-3824 npdewit@fishbeck.com A hardcopy of the Grand Rapids Construction Specifications may be obtained for an additional charge of $20.00 or may be accessed electronically Failure by the Contractor to achieve Substantial Completion by the designated date will result in assessed liquidated damages in the sum of $3,000 for each calendar day until the project has been substantially completed A certified check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days after the date and time for receiving bids. The successful Bidder shall furnish satisfactory performance and payment/lien bonds, each in an amount equal to the total contract price, on all projects for which the contract amount is $50,000 or more. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids; to reject the Bid of a Bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Engineer or City, in a position to perform the contract; to waive informalities, irregularities and technicalities; to reject any and all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced [unreasonable unit price(s)] or conditional Bids; or to advertise for new Bids. |
