| Description | The project involves installation of a new roof system on an existing building located at 17718 Virginia Avenue. The Contractor shall remove and stockpile all existing roof ballast to the loading dock area located at the rear of the building (ballast to be removed from the site by the County) and install approximately 32,000 SF of a complete mechanically attached 60 mil PVC roof system directly over the existing EPDM roof membrane on both the upper and lower roofs. Proper flashings shall be provided and installed for all roof penetrations, including but not limited to vent pipes, pipe rails, mechanical units, exhaust fans, and access hatch. Termination bars and other components shall be provided as required to provide a complete and professional installation. The work also includes placing a sacrificial 60 mil PVC membrane beneath the existing walk path pavers, installation of a new walkway to the proposed HVAC roof top units, and reuse of the existing metal parapet copings. The 60 mil PVC membrane shall extend up and over parapet walls at all copings. |
