Description | The City is creating a pool of contractors to perform various facilities management projects. It is the responsibility of the contractor to ensure all relevant information is included in its response. All contractors are advised to carefully examine the requirements of this Request for Qualifications. Any questions regarding the completeness or substance of the requirements shall be submitted in writing via the electronically. The City of Palm Beach Gardens reserves the right to accept or reject any or all responses, in whole or in part, with or without cause, to waive any irregularities and/or technicalities, and to award the contract on such terms and conditions it deems will best serve the interests of the City. The contract shall commence on the date of the duly executed Agreement, and shall remain in effect for 5 years, contingent upon the completion and submittal of all required qualifications documents. The contract shall expire on the last day of the last month of the 5-year contract term. The initial contract term shall prevail for 5 years from the contract's initial effective date. Prior to, or upon completion, of that initial term, the City shall have the option to renew this contract for an additional 5 years. Continuation of the contract beyond the initial period, and any option subsequently exercised, is a City prerogative, and not a right of the contractors. This prerogative will be exercised only when such continuation is in the best interest of the City as determined by the City at the City's sole discretion. Should a contractor decline the City's right to exercise the option period, the City may consider that contractor in default which decision may affect the contractor's eligibility for future contracts with the City. |
