Library Roof Repairs

1 & 2. Remove old deteriorating caulk near edges where its peeled up. Replace with larger EPDM Patch if needed. Use Pliobond Lap sealant to replace old caulk. 3. Cut out and dispose of blistered membrane. Clean and prime area to receive a new patched area. Replace with similar thickness EPDM Membrane. (60 mil) 4. Patch Skylight hole in translucent panel. Inspect both skylights for additional holes. Apply 2 coats of Viking skylight sealer to the translucent panel. 5. Inspect pipe boots and other patches for deteriorating caulk or raised edges. Repair using new Pliobond lap sealant. Replace with larger EPDM Patch if needed. 6. Inspect Edge Metal around Skylights. Using Tuff Stuff sealant (Classic Bronze Color) fill in gaps that may allow water to work in. 7a & 7b. Cut and relax tenting membrane along shingled roof. Replace with new EPDM flashing. (approx 40 ft)8. Inspect the Vents on the Shingled roof. Seal around each one using Tuff Stuff sealant to make sure proper seal. (10 vents) (Classic Bronze Color) 9. Install new fasteners into trim pieces to secure in place. Apply Tuff Stuff sealant around wood trim to make watertight seal. (Natural Stone Color) Add #1. Install New Fluid Applied Membrane to the existing EPDM membrane. (approx. 2300 sq.ft)· Clean EPDM system with Simple green detergent and power wash Reinforce any seams near drains with Unibond Tape. Apply LiquiTec base coating at a rate of 1.5 gal/sq. by squeegee & roller. Apply LiquiTec Top coat at a rate of 1gal/Sq. by squeegee & roller.
