Description | Southwest Iowa Planning Council (SWIPCO) will meet at their Main Office located at 1501 SW 7th Street, Atlantic, IA on Thursday March 24, 2022, at 1:30 P.M., and will hold a public hearing on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and opinion of probable cost for the construction of the Main Office Addition / Remodel Project in Atlantic, IA. At said public hearing, any interested persons may appear and state or file objections to the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract or probable cost for this project, and the SWIPCO Policy Council will consider all objections to said items and hear interested persons. Thereafter, the Policy Council will enter its decision on the plans, specifications, form of contract and probable cost by resolution. Each bid must contain a bond, cashiers or certified check, or certified share draft in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid, including alternates, in a separate attached envelope. Bid security shall be made payable to Southwest Iowa Planning Council. Performance Bond and Labor, Material and Payment Bond will be required by the successful bidder in the full amount of the contract. Should the successful bidder fail or neglect to furnish satisfactory Performance / Payment Bonds, refuse to enter into a contract on the basis of the bid, or fail to meet the requirements of this Notice and the specifications regulating the award, the bidder's security may be retained as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of forty-five (45) calendar days after the date and hour set for receiving bids. The Board may make the contract award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting the Contract Documents. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interests of the Board. |
