| Description | Remove part of the original floor beam. Install new micro laminated 7¼”beam to sister next to the remaining floor joist. Add a new post under one end to bear load, while bearing the other end on a seal plate and foundation. Appropriate hangers and connectors per specks for attachment points.Must level up floor to new beams and through bolt per specks. Remove scabbed 2x4’s and install appropriate scabbing to support sub floor. A building permit will be required. See the attached engineered drawing for more details. |
