| Description | The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to solicit proposals to establish contracts for debris removal services for the City of Norfolk, Virginia (the "City") with experienced Contractors who are capable of efficiently clearing, removing, and lawfully disposing of large volumes of disaster generated debris (other than hazardous materials, household putrescible garbage, and household hazardous waste) from public property and public rights-of-way, throughout the City for the time period preceding and/or immediately following a local, regional or statewide disaster with the potential for generating debris. Contractor must be capable of assembling, directing, and managing a workforce that can complete the removal of debris in response to a Category one (1) to five (5) hurricane (the "disaster") in a maximum of ninety (90) calendar days and complete all disposal operations within one-hundred and eighty (180) calendar days from authorization to proceed from the City to begin the recovery process.
