Lawn Mowing and Plant Bed Maintenance at Geneva Campus Sites for Finger Lakes Community

The work shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment and transportation for lawn mowing. Mowing shall take place routinely in order to maintain the grass at a 3” height. In case of periods of drought, plan on mowing and trimming every 3 weeks to reduce weed growth. Mulching type mowers are preferred. The contractor is responsible for providing, maintaining, and transporting all equipment and fuel required. The contractor shall keep the cutting edges of all mower blades in sharp condition. Caution shall be used to avoid flying debris. All equipment used shall be equipped with factory safeguards and meet OSHA requirements. Mowing shall include the pickup of sticks or any litter prior to mowing. Special care shall be given to prevent any mower contact with tree trunks and prevent grass clippings and debris from entering city storm drains. The contractor shall blow grass clippings from the sidewalks and remove any excess clumps of grass clippings. Any grass clippings, sticks or litter collected shall be removed from the site and properly disposed of. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, equipment and transportation for plant bed maintenance. Equipment may not be stored on site.
