| Description | The State College Area School District plans to replace existing domestic hot water heating and softening at Mount Nittany Middle School. The following is a brief outline of the scope of work: 1. Demolish existing hot water storage tank and related tube bundle heat exchanger, existing domestic hot water circulator pump, domestic water softener and domestic hot water mixing valve. 2. Selective demolition of heating water supply/return piping (boiler to remain). 3. Selective demolition of domestic cold water and hot water piping. 4. Provide two new high efficiency condensing gas water heaters and connect to existing domestic cold and hot water systems with new hot water circulating pumps and mixing valve. 5. Provide new packaged domestic water softener package and connect to existing system. |
