Description | Contracts Branch (fc) SAM.gov Action Code: Sources Sought Class Code: Z Subject: Market Research - Chesapeake City Bridge Repairs Solicitation No.: W912BU23B - Chesapeake City Bridge Repairs Set-Aside Code: NA Place of Performance: Chesapeake City, MD Description of Work: This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for information purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS, OR BIDS. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed contract to perform repair work of the Chesapeake City Bridge located in Chesapeake City, MD. Contract period of performance will be 520 calendar days. The Chesapeake City Bridge repair work will consist of: Repair of severely advanced deteriorated concrete substructure piers with large spalls, delaminated concrete, and exposed rebar. Repairs will include removal and replacement of these significantly deteriorated areas of concrete. The total repair area for all the piers is expected to be approximately 5,000 sf. Replacement of the south approach slab and curbing along the north and south approaches. Miscellaneous steel repairs of deteriorated steel members including diaphragm replacement and strengthening of steel beam webs and flanges that is required due to deterioration. All areas where steel is repaired will be cleaned and painted. Joint replacement to prevent water intrusion to the steel and bearing areas below. The design plans and specifications will be prepared according to AASHTO bridge design and construction specifications. An award for this project is anticipated on or about September 2023. The estimated cost range of this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required for 100% of contract award. The NAICS Code for this project is 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction and the small business size standard is $45 Million. Responses to this Sources Sought Announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Narratives are requested with the following information, which shall not exceed a total of eight (8) pages. Offeror's name, address, points of contact with telephone numbers and e-mail addresses. Business size/classification to include any designations as Small Business, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), Women-Owned small businesses shall be indicated on first page of submission. Provide construction bonding level per single contract/task order. Provide the aggregate sum total construction bonding level. Provide both capabilities which must be expressed in U.S. dollars; along with current available bonding capacity. Description of capability to perform similar or same projects listed above, manage subcontractors, prepare and comply with various environmental and construction permits, and capacity to execute this project with other ongoing construction contracts. Past performance/experience on projects of similar scope and magnitude, describing no more than five (5) projects that are at least 50% construction complete within the past five years. The past performance information should include project title, location, general description of the construction to demonstrate relevance to the proposed projects, the Offeror's role, dollar value of contract, and name of the company, agency or government entity for which the work was performed with contact information (reference name, phone number and e-mail address). The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. |
