Description | **As of July 25, 2022 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Cash Payments Must Be Submitted in the Exact Amount. Bids Must Be Submitted on the Prescribed Form, in a Sealed Envelope Marked: Bid Proposal Demolition of Township Owned Structures Located at 269 Clarksville Road, Block 93, Lot 1 and 10 North Mill Road, Block 19, Lot 34 the Work Under This Contract Includes the Furnishing of All Labor, Material and Equipment Necessary or Required to Complete All Work Set Forth in the Contract Documents. Bids Will Be Accepted From Demolition Companies Licensed by the State of New Jersey for Work Which Includes the Demolition and Removal of Two (2) Township Owned Structures Located at 269 Clarksville Road (Block 93, Lot 1) and 10 North Mill Road (Block 19, Lot 34). These Structures Include a 2- Story Single Family Residential Structure With Basement Located at 269 Clarksville Road and a Small Outdoor Storage Structure Located at 10 North Mill Road. The Base Bid Will Also Consist of Locating and Sealing an Existing Well Along With an Existing Underground Sewage Disposal System, Removal and Disposal of an Aboveground Fuel Storage Tank, Removal and Disposal of Some Existing Landscaping Including Trees and Shrubs, Removal and Disposal of Existing Concrete Including Stoop Located at 269 Clarksville Road. Securing All Required State, County or Municipal Permits Will Be the Responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor's Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited to the Following: Identifying, Testing and Abatement of Potential Asbestos (Possible Areas May Include Siding, Pipe Wrap and/or Shingles), 2. Locating and Sealing of Existing Wells and Abandoned Underground Sewage Disposal Systems by Licensed Professionals. 3. Identify, Test and Disposal of Any Potential Lead Paint. Inspection of Each Structure and Extermination of Insects, Rodents, or Other Vermin by a Licensed Exterminator, as Applicable. Removal and Disposal of an Aboveground Fuel Storage Tank. Prospective Bidders Are Required to Inspect the Structures Prior to Submitting a Bid for This Contract and Must Contact the Township for Scheduling of Inspection. Prospective Bidders Will Be Required to Bring Personal Protective Gear (Including: Hard Hat, Goggles, Safety Vest and Mask) for Access Into the Structures. A Bid Deposit in the Form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond Made Payable to the Township of West Windsor in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Amount of the Bid, but Not to Exceed $20,000.00, Must Accompany Each Proposal as a Security, Which May Be Forfeited and Retained by the Township in Lieu of Its Other Legal Remedies, if a Successful Bidder's Proposal Is Accepted by the Township and He Shall Fail to Execute and Return to the Township the Required Contract and/or Bonds Within Ten (10) Days After Delivery of the Prepared Contract and/or Bond Form to Him by the Township. The Township Council Reserves the Right to Reject All Proposals in Whole or in Part or to Waive Minor Informalities as May Be Permitted by Law. |
