Description

In general, the work consists of: Providing fire safety work for Robert S. Swanson Learning Center and Communications Technology buildings. Robert S. Swanson Learning Center: Remove existing fire pump supplying water to internal fire hose system and replace with complete NFPA 14 code compliant class 1 manual wet standpipe system that meets current standards. Modify the existing fire alarm system as needed to accommodate new standpipe system. Communications Technology: Update currently sprinkled areas in building, provide protection of new fire sprinkler main, and isolate system from domestic water supply while providing economical option when retrofitting remainder of building. Modify the existing fire alarm system as needed to accommodate new fire sprinkler system.
