Description | The City of Escalon is pleased to announce the release of this Request for Proposals (RFP) for an exciting opportunity to develop and operate a Senior Housing Community on City-owned property via sale and/or a potential ground lease. The purpose of this RFQ is to describe the City's need for senior housing to be proposed on a portion of a city owned 18-acre site (17341 Escalon Bellota Road), to solicit proposals from experienced housing developers capable of developing a senior housing project and to then manage the property as a high-quality senior housing development. The RFP serves as an opportunity for various developers to demonstrate their qualifications, competence and capacity of those seeking to undertake this project as independent contractors in conformity with the qualifications of the RFP. As such, the substance of the response will carry more weight than the form ormanner of presentation. The response should demonstrate the qualifications of the developer and of any of their staff to be assigned to this project. The response should address all points outlined in the RFP. The response should be prepared simply and economically, and provide a straightforward, concise description of the developer's capabilities to satisfy the requirements of the RFP. Once proposals are received, the City may elect to shortlist developers for an interview. The City reserves the right to select a successful and experienced developer without conducting any interviews. The City will then select a preferred development partner or partners to enter into negotiations and ultimately a development agreement to construct and operate the senior housing development at the subject property. Prospective developers are invited to submit their statement of qualifications to the City of Escalon detailing their background as well as information on pertinent qualifications, comparable project experience, project vision, conceptual architectural design, and potential project budget. |
