HSC Central Chiller Plant - Cooling Tower Replacement

West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors ("BOG") located in Morgantown, West Virginia ("WVU" or "University") is initiating this Request for Bids ("RFB") from qualified, experienced, and licensed Contractors for the demolition of existing and installation of new cooling towers on the roof of the central chiller plant. Related work includes new piping, power, upgraded controls and associated general trades. The address is: Health Sciences Center, 64 Medical Center Drive, Morgantown, WV 26506 NOTE: Required Completed Documentation must be submitted under SUPPLIER ATTACHMENTS with Response (bid bond, drug-free affidavit, etc.). NOTE: Questions MUST be submitted directly on the solicitation website on the Q&A Board - Please refrain from submitting questions until AFTER the Pre-Bid meeting Question Deadline 03/22/2023 at 3:00 PM ET Projected Comencement: October 1, 2023 Substantial and Final Completion - the Contractor Shall Achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the Entire Work as Calculated or Indicated Below. The Date of Issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed and/or Contact Shall Be Used to Calculate Substantial and Final Completion if Contract Time Stated Below is in Number of Calendar Days. Substantial Completion Shall Be March 15, 2024 Final Completion Shall Be April 1, 2024. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES - The Contractor shall achieve Substantial and Final Completion of the entire Work as calculated or indicated above. The date of issuance of the West Virginia University's Notice to Proceed or Executed Agreement shall be used to calculate Substantial and Final Completion of contract time stated in number of consecutive calendar days or established date. Time is of the essence. Liquidated Damages shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Substantial Completion and Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250) per Calendar Day of delay in achieving Final Completion.
