Installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Station

**As of May 3, 2023, project was awarded to Kuenzi Electric, Inc. but awarded amount is not available.** The City of Prineville (City), with grant assistance ($200,000) from Pacific Power is looking to install a minimum of two 50kW DC fast chargers. A technical assistance report was generated by Pacific Power through a 3rd party consultant (C2 Group). The consultant/contractor must consult with Pacific Power to determine the power grid capability of the selected site. Location - approximately 440 NE Court St. Prineville. Minimum power infrastructure to serve two 50kW DC fast-chargers; designed to be expandable. Minimum installation of two 50kW DC fast chargers. Power is available on existing overhead poles to be brought underground to new pad mount transformer. Units will be installed at the curb line within the public sidewalk to serve parking spaces on a dead-end street adjacent to a park and trail system. o Project must be started by June 30, 2023 and completed by May 30, 2024. Trenching and transformer will be in grass behind sidewalk. Minimal sidewalk repair may be needed. Parking area will need to be re-striped.
