| Description | To solicit bids for Various Size Drainage Pipes to be furnished and delivered to Orange County Department of Public Works, 2455-2459 Route 17M, Goshen, New York, or any other county agency when specified. All Aluminized Steel Corrugated Pipe and Connecting Bands shall conform in all respects to New York State Department of Transportation Specifications 707-02: Corrugated Steel Pipe, AASHTO M36 or latest revision. Aluminized Steel Corrugated Pipe, Type II is to be the required gauge and conform in all respects to the Specifications for Corrugated Aluminum Steel Type II Culvert Pipe, AASHTO M274-801 or latest revision. Aluminized Steel End Sections shall conform in all respects to NYSDOT Specifications 707-10, AASHTO M218 or latest revision. Ultra Flo Pipe (New York State Department of Transportation Specifications 707-02 Type 1R) shall conform in all respects to AASHTO M36, and ASTM A760 or latest revision. The Heavy Used Steel Pipe and Boiler Shells must be clean, free of excess rust, straight and welded to the exact length as specified by the Commissioner of Public Works. Bidders shall maintain a sufficient stock of each size offered so that delivery can be made within one (1) week after receipt of order. Minimum length of each piece of pipe shall be 25 linear feet. High Density Polyethylene Corrugated Drainage Pipe (Round Smooth Interior) is to conform in all respects to the Specifications found in AASHTO Designations M-252 and M-294, and New York State Department of Transportation 706-13. Pipe shall be made of polyethylene compounds as defined in ASTMD-3350, except that the carbon black content shall not exceed 5%. Some corrugated fittings will not fit all pipe. Only fittings supplied or recommended by the pipe manufacturer should be used. HP High Performance Polypropylene dual wall smooth interior is to conform in all respects to the specifications found in AASHTO M330, ASTM F2736 and ASTM F2881, TYPE S watertight, soil tight joints. Size designations shall range from 12 inches to 60 inches’ diameter. PVC Liner Pipe for culvert re-liner shall conform to the requirements of ASTM Designation F949-93a (or latest revision). The pipe shall be made of PVC compound having a cell classification of 12454B as defined in ASTM D1784 (or latest revision). |
