Description | Q and a open: July 6, 2022 5:30:00 AM Q and a close: July 26, 2022 12:30:00 AM City of Saint Paul Public Work Department is looking for bids for James Ave LS Rehab Project. Early Construction Start (March 15, 2023) Project Completion (July 30, 2023) Some major project work items include: Traffic control, Temp sewage conveyance, Valve vault for pump station, Replace structure top slabs and access hatches, Replace submersible pumps, mechanical valves and piping, Replace electrical controls and equipment, Bituminous pavement restoration, Concrete work. Addenda, if necessary, will be posted on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022. Contractor and Owner recognize that time is of the essence of this Project and that Owner will suffer financial loss if the Work is not completed within the times specified in Item No. 5 above, plus any extensions thereof. The parties also recognize the delays, expense, and difficulties involved in proving in a legal or arbitration proceeding the actual loss suffered by Owner if the Work is not completed on time. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, Owner and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty), Contractor shall pay Owner $200 per each day that expires after the May 30, 2023. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all line items at no additional cost to the contract. Quantities listed are an estimate; the unit price bid will be used in all instances regardless of the final quantity of the line item. A 5% bid bond is required for all bids $175,000 or more. |
