Geotechnical and Environmental Assessment Services to Support the Mud Creek Interceptor Replacement

Provide geotechnical and environmental assessment services to support the proposed Mud Creek Interceptor Replacement project. The Mud Creek Interceptor Replacement Project will replace approximately 10,600 linear feet of existing 24-inch and 12- inch diameter gravity sewer main with 36-inch and 24-inch sewer main along Mud Creek. A project area map is attached. A portion of the proposed sewer alignment travels through a pre-regulatory landfill site. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to: 1. Geotechnical soil borings along the proposed sewer alignment (estimated 25 soil borings depths not exceeding 25 feet), 2. Preparation of a geotechnical engineering report summarizing conclusions and recommendations for utility construction, 3. Remedial investigation and contaminant delineation in accordance with NCDEQ IHSB guidelines within areas of the pre-regulatory landfill, and 4. Preparation of environmental assessment report summarizing conclusions and recommendations for construction.
