Description | The Erie County Water Authority will receive separate, sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, plant, tools, equipment and specified materials, etc. for Asbestos Cement Pipe (ACP) and Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) Abatement, Removal and Disposal, June 1, 2023 through May 31, 2025. The Work consists of removal and disposal of Asbestos Cement Pipe (ACP), that has been identified within right-of-ways located in Erie County Water Authoritys service area and water districts that the Authority operates under a lease managed contract. The work also includes sampling for and removal and disposal of Presumed Asbestos Containing Material (PACM) or Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) from Erie County Water Authority Treatment Plants and Booster Pump Stations. When permitted, members of the public may be present to observe the bid opening. All attendees must bring a government-issued photo identification (driver's license preferred) and check-in with the ECWA receptionist before being allowed entry to the bid opening. Whenever the Erie County Water Authority is operating under a Declaration of Emergency due to a pandemic or other general state of emergencies, members of the public may be precluded from being present at such bid opening. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. In accordance with State Finance Law 139-j and 139-k, all questions about meaning or intent of the bidding documents shall be submitted to the designated contact person in writing. The Erie County Water Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to accept any bid deemed to be for the best interest of the Water Authority even though the proposal chosen may result in the award of the contract to a bidder whose bid is not mathematically lowest. |
