Description

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Project work consists of maintenance dredging the 9-foot Anclote River Channel and Turning Basin. The resulting material will be transported to and placed in a temporary upland dredged material management area (DMMA) to be constructed as part of this contract. The DMMA will consist of an earthen-diked containment basin using barrow onsite and a weir dewatering system. Hauling of dewatered material and demolishing of the DMMA is not part of this solicitation. Incidental work includes endangered species monitoring, sea turtle trawl capture and relocation (for hopper dredges only), bird monitoring, turbidity monitoring, and gopher tortoise capture and relocation. Anclote River Channel is located on the State of Florida in Pinellas and Pasco Counties.
