Description

OWNER: Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union (SVSU) 184 North Street, Suite 1 Bennington, VT 05201 ENGINEER: Dubois & King, Inc. Green Tree Drive South Burlington, VT 05403 Submit qualification statement for inclusion on a selected list of Bidders for improvements to buildings managed by SVSU. Contractors will be notified a minimum of thirty days prior to the bid date of the list of pre-qualified bidders. No previously submitted qualification statement will be accepted. Qualification statement shall include all of the following: 1. Complete Contractor's Qualification Statement AIA document A305-2020, or its complete equivalent. 2. Complete list of projects with construction cost over $2,000,000 over the previous 5 years. For references, include names for both the owner and the architect with their email addresses and phone numbers. 3. List and description of school projects, including references with contact person, email address, and phone number. 4. Note experience with successfully managing multiple projects running concurrently in different locations. 5. Note any experience with federally funded projects involving Davis-Bacon compliance. Experience and references will be considerations in evaluating qualifications. PROJECT DESCRIPTION SVSU invites sophisticated general contractors and construction managers to submit qualifications for improvements to seven of its school buildings. While primarily HVAC improvements, the work will include procurement and coordination of qualified subcontractors for various trades in support of the work, including without limitation, electrical work, structural work, cutting and patching, and any and all other work to achieve a complete and acceptable finished project. HVAC work includes: Adding cooling coils, condensing units, and associated work to existing HVAC systems in five buildings: o Bennington Elementary School o Molly Stark Elementary School o Monument Elementary School o Pownal Elementary School o Shaftsbury Elementary School Adding an energy recovery ventilator and associated work at Woodford Elementary School Installing five air-cooled chillers and associated work at Mount Anthony Union Middle School Upgrade control systems as necessary and to accommodate new HVAC equipment at all sites. SCHEDULE: Project is planned to go out to bid on March 30, 2023 with construction beginning on approximately July 3, 2023. Substantial Completion is scheduled for August 31, 2023. BONDING: A Bid Bond in the form of AIA A310 will be required for 5% of the Construction Cost. A Performance and Payment Bond in the form of AIA A312 will be required for 100% of the Construction Cost. A payment bond on the part of the contractor for 100 percent of the contract price is also required. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Contractor shall be subject to comply with any and all applicable equal opportunity and nondiscrimination agreements as included in the bid documents.
