Description | Phase I - Courts Annex Building: $51,000,000.00 Phase II - Courthouse Renovation: $19,000,000.00 The project is divided into two phases of construction. In Phase I, a new Courts Annex Building will be constructed to move the Judicial Courts and other associated departments for the County out of the existing Courthouse. Phase II will consist of a complete renovation of the existing Courthouse to reconfigure it's use for the County's Administrative Departments that will remain at the building. Phase I - The San Patricio County Courts Annex Building will be located within new development on the east side of Sinton, south of E. Sinton St. and west of Highway 181. The proposed building will be an approximately 92,000 square feet, three story building containing the three District Courts for the County and the County Court at Law. Facilities for the District Attorney, County Attorney, District Clerk, and County Clerk departments are also to be housed in the building. Phase II - The existing San Patricio County Courthouse Building is located at 400 W. Sinton St., Sinton, TX. The original building was constructed in 1926 with major additions added in 1953 and 1995 with a current total building area of approximately 49,000 square feet. The renovation will include demolition of most of the building back to the existing structure in order to reconfigure it for the County Administration departments that will be housed in the building. An approximately 9,400 square foot addition is proposed to the front entry of the building to facilitate accessible entry including lobby, elevator, stair and public restroom core for each floor.
