| Description | This project will construct sidewalk along the east side of Ashley Rd from Greenland Ave. to Alleghany St. The scope for this project will include an 8’ planting strip where feasible and 6' sidewalk, driveway improvements, wheelchair ramps and minor curb adjustments to eliminate pinch points for bike lanes. Asphalt Resurfacing including pavement markings for bike lanes within these limits will be conducted by CDOT Street Maintenance resurfacing contract once this project’s construction phase is completed. The major focus of this project is to construct a new sidewalk that will provide safer walking conditions for the citizens within these project limits. The City of Charlotte's existing bike network will gain an additional mile of new bike lanes as an added benefit of this project. |
